What is EdCamp?

EdCamp is a free half-day of professional development that is participant-driven and educator focused.  Educators will come together to connect with other passionate educators, have group discussions, collaborate around ideas, brainstorm solutions to common education problems and gain new insight that can be immediately applied in the classroom.

No presenters. No agendas. Just learning.

This is a different kind of conference. Think about the last time you attended a professional learning event, session or PD experience. Oftentimes, you leave feeling full of new knowledge and an overflowing list of new ideas, programs, or skills to try out. But once you return to "the real world," the lack of time and support to actually implement these new tools is lacking. Earlier professional learning models can make you feel alone and unconnected...but NOT EdCamp.

What will I learn at EdCamp?

Explore the things you've never had time to explore.

Your learning is completely up to you!  At EdCamp, you'll have your choice of sessions to choose from because sessions are chosen that day and determined by the participants.  There are no PowerPoint, lecture-style presentations here!

Participants can choose sessions that they want to learn more about or ones where they would feel comfortable sharing their ideas.  You can use the EdCamp principle of "voting with your feet."  If you don't feel like the session is benefiting you, there are no hard feelings about attending a different session.

What makes LuthEdCamp unique?

ALL EDUCATORS are invited to come and share in a morning of learning. Lutheran educators often share joys, challenges, and opportunities that are unique to Christian schools. We pray that all participants enjoy a morning of growth at #LuthedcampSTL.
